Assistant Controller
$90,000 - $110,000 
August 20, 2024A award winning construction company is hiring for an Assistant Controller to join their growing team in Charlotte, NC. This is a key hire that will partner with the current Controller to be groomed over the next few years and take over the accounting department. You'll assist the current Controller in all aspects of the accounting life cycle including month-end close, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and analysis. This role is hybrid in office three days a week.
Required:
- 7+ years of professional experience in accounting
- Prior team leadership experience in either unofficially leading and supervising team members or managing 2+ direct reports
- Strong grasp of an previous adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, GAAP
- Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights
- Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP tools such as Sage, Dynamics, Quickbooks etc
Nice to have:
- CPA or progress toward licensure
- Prior experience working within the construction or maintenance installation space

August 23, 2024A private equity backed manufacturing client of ours is looking to add a Senior Cost Accountant to their team. This hire will be responsible for General Ledger Accounting, but will also bring a strong understanding of costing and adhere to Lean Accounting methodology.
What you'll be doing:
- Own costing and weekly close
- Weekly/monthly/quarterly reporting
- Cash flow forecasting and reconciliation
- Audit support (financial, workers comp and bank)
- Other projects as assigned
The ideal candidate has:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of professional Accounting experience
- Strong familiarity with costing (burden rates, bill of materials, cost recovery, inventory analysis, etc.)
- Ability to adhere to Lean Accounting methodologies and consistently strive for cost effectiveness and efficiency
- Excellent oral communication skills and ability to present to key stakeholders outside the Accounting department

August 15, 2024A mission driven company in Charlotte, NC is hiring for a full-time Senior Accountant to join their growing team. This hire will work alongside the Controller and CFO to assist in all aspects of the accounting life cycle including month-end close, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and analysis. CPA or Public Accounting experience is highly preferred, although not required.
*This role is primarily remote with the occasional need to come into their Arlington office 1 day a week
Required:
- 3+ years of professional accounting experience
- In-depth knowledge of GAAP principles and all stages of the accounting lifecycle
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or similar field of study
- Previous experience working with Quickbooks, Netsuite, Sage, MS Dynamics or similar
Nice to have:
- Active CPA or work toward obtaining a CPA
- Prior experience in both public and corporate accounting
