Staff Accountant
$75,000 - $90,000 
July 31, 2024A well-known family-owned fashion retailer in Cranston, RI is hiring for a Staff level Accountant to join their growing team. This role will be critical in assisting the daily financial activities of the organization. You’ll be responsible for managing all balance sheet accounts from reconciliation through resolutions, as well as conducting financial and cost analysis of balance sheet and income statements - just to name a few of the main responsibilities.
Required:
- Minimum of 3+ years of professional accounting experience
- In-depth knowledge of GAAP principles and all stages of the accounting lifecycle
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or similar field of study
Nice to have:
- Domain experience working within the consumer goods industry (fashion, retail, electronics, etc.)
- Prior experience working in public accounting
- Knowledge of Great Plains accounting software

This is a key hire that will execute both tactical and strategic ideas with the merchandising team to identify keys trends and support them through marketing and site content exposure to drive category sales. Your core responsibility will be driving merchandising optimizations for their eCommerce website.
Required:
- 5+ years of marketing experience within the luxury goods, retail, or consumer goods industry
- 1+ years of eCommerce site merchandising
- Strong skills in Excel working with large sets of data
- Proficiency in Oracle Commerce Cloud, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Shopify, or similar
Bonus skills:
- Prior experience working cross functionally with project managers, UI/UX designers, copywriters and web developers for website and content optimization
