December 24, 2024A national, but family-owned, manufacturing company with a 40-year legacy is seeking a talented Senior Accountant to oversee the accounting for their plant in Ames, ensuring a smooth cost accounting process, accurate financial reports and informed financial decision making
Responsibilities:
- Perform all aspects of accounting, including month-end close, general ledger, bank reconciliations, and accurate and timely preparation of financial statement preparations.
- Perform cost accounting for 13 cost centers.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
- Preparation of documents and assist in corporate audits.
Skills Needed:
- Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience with a strong foundation in accounting principles.
- Costing experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Excel.
