Title: Corporate Paralegal

What You’ll Do:

Position Summary:
Under the direct supervision of the Assistant Dean of Academic Programs, the Program/Portfolio Director shall perform the following roles and responsibilities:
- Share academic and administrative responsibility for the development, ongoing evaluation, academic quality, and supervision of the courses, certificates, specializations, and xOpen seminars in an academic portfolio;
- Monitor changing trends relevant to this portfolio, and forms partnerships to implement area of expertise initiatives;
- Manage the many existing industry relationships with relevant companies and professionals with the primary goal of building offerings and revenue growth for the Division;
- Reach underserved communities through statewide and local outreach efforts;
- Serve as a member of various ad-hoc committees and task forces convened at the discretion of the Director and/or the Dean's Office;
- Demonstrate outstanding leadership, excellent managerial and interpersonal skills, and enthusiasm for UCLA Extension's public service educational mission; and
- Represent the institution and the portfolio in a number of regional networks and professional associations related to the education field
Required Qualifications:
- Experience in program design, implementation, and evaluation of continuing education and professional development programs;
- Experience with outreach to, and programming supports for, underserved communities and students;
- Ability to develop creative continuing education programs within an entrepreneurial framework in response to changing needs and trends;
- Knowledge of accredited and/or certificate program instruction, delivery methodologies, the organization, and market and business strategies;
- Experience with or understanding of distance learning methods and techniques for adult education using online learning formats;
- Ability to relate as peer to faculty, professional associations, community leadership groups, and local district, county, and state personnel;
- Specific strengths in building partnerships;
- Advanced knowledge of functional area, and how work impacts programs;
- Experience managing a budget, fiscal controls, and expenditures;
- Advanced analytical, problem solving, interpersonal, oral and written communication, and presentation skills;
- Knowledge and facility with computers, including word-processing and financial management software within an electronic network office environment;
