Legal Assistant/Paralegal (Philadelphia)



Our client, a leading National Law Firm, is actively seeking a Legal Assistant/Paralegal to support their growing practice in their Philadelphia office.
This position would involve supporting attorneys with various legal responsibilities including calendaring, e-filing, discovery, trial/litigation prep, and providing additional Paralegal/Legal Assistant support as needed.
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Term: Full Time/Direct Hire
Compensation: $70,000 - $80,000
Candidates MUST HAVE recent Law Firm experience.
Role is in office 4 days/week, 1 day/week remote
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Legal Studies or a Paralegal Certificate preferred.
- 2+ years of relevant experience as a Legal Assistant in a law firm.
- Ability to analyze legal documents and meet deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills


Tax Manager – NPO & Corporate Partnerships – Philadelphia

About the Role:
As a Tax Manager/Supervisor, you will oversee and review tax returns for non-profit organizations, mutual funds, and corporate partnerships. This role provides an excellent opportunity to manage client relationships, guide a skilled team, and ensure the delivery of exceptional results. While primarily review-oriented, occasional preparation may be required based on workload.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and review tax returns, including 990s, 1120s, and 1065s, with occasional trust work (1041).
Act as a supervisor/manager for the tax department, ensuring timely and accurate completion of returns.
Engage directly with clients, offering guidance and expertise in tax matters.
Ensure compliance with current tax laws and industry standards through detailed reviews.
Provide occasional hands-on tax preparation as needed.
Qualifications:
At least 2 years of experience in public accounting or tax preparation, with a focus on non-profit and corporate partnerships.
Proficiency with tax returns such as 990s, 1120s, and 1065s (1040/1041 experience not critical).
Strong communication skills for client interaction and relationship management.
CPA certification preferred but not required if actively pursuing certification.
Prior experience in managing or supervising a small team.
