About the Organization:
A mission-driven nonprofit is seeking a Controller to manage financial operations. You’ll collaborate closely with an outsourced CFO and leadership, ensuring transparency and solid financial management.
Position Overview:
As Controller, you’ll manage the books, including debits, credits, and financial reporting. You’ll handle budgeting, compliance, and audits while working with the outsourced CFO on financial strategy. This role requires being on-site five days a week in the Upper East Side.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee debits, credits, and maintain accurate financial records
- Ensure compliance and manage audits
- Lead budgeting, reporting, and forecasting
- Communicate with the outsourced CFO and leadership
- Supervise the finance team
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance (CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred)
- 5+ years in nonprofit finance
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, nonprofit accounting, and financial reporting
- Experience managing books and compliance
- Effective communicator with leadership and external partners

So fair they've raised $5B in equity for these projects and have saved 41M metric tons of CO2 from being emitted. You'd be reporting directly into the Tax Director, helping him prepare corporate tax returns, some under ASC740 provision. You'll also prepare all non-income tax filings including sales & use taxes, property taxes, 1099s and withholdings for US and foreign entities.

You will be joining a well-established team with a clear path for growth. The ideal candidate would be able to come onsite for 5 days and have knowledge of California standards and codes.
Desired Skills:

A well-established (and long-term client) commercial and residential general contractor in Chicago is looking for multiple Project Managers to join their growing team. Experience requirement can vary- but they're ideally looking for candidates with 5-8 years of experience in a similar space.
This is a mid-larger sized firm, with roughly 400 employees- if you've been in this space for a bit, you've definitely heard of them or probably even worked on a project or two with them!
