Core Responsibilities:

Senior Estimator



A general contractor specializing in public works and infrastructure projects is seeking an Estimator with ideally 10 years of experience estimating projects for city agencies such as DDC, DEP, DOT, and NYDPR. This role requires expertise in underground utilities, sitework, and paving (concrete/asphalt) projects. The role is onsite from their office in Long Island City.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed estimates for public works and infrastructure projects, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness
- Analyze bid documents, perform quantity takeoffs, and evaluate labor, material, and subcontractor costs
- Develop and submit technical proposals with a strong emphasis on clear, precise communication
- Work directly with senior estimators and agency contacts to refine bids and secure profitable contracts
- If applicable, support estimating for smaller private-sector projects independently
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience estimating public works projects at a general contractor
- Expertise in underground utilities (water, sanitary, storm), sitework, and paving
- Familiarity with DDC, DEP, DOT, NYDPR, and other agency bidding processes
- Strong proficiency in estimating software and ability to produce detailed, technical proposals
- Ability to work independently with minimal training and a track record of winning and profitable bids
Compensation:
- Up to $200K for candidates with agency experience and a strong track record of awarded projects
- $90K–$110K for more junior candidates focused on private-sector estimating

Our client, a leading National Law Firm, is actively seeking a Senior Litigation Paralegal to support their growing practice in either NYC, S.F., Philadelphia or Washington D.C.
The role is primarily remote and can be based in any of the above locations. The only expectation for in office presence would be as required for trial preparation or other related responsibilities.
This role would involve using Westlaw and similar software for legal research, e-filing briefs, managing internal pleadings, preparing depositions, and cite-checking among other responsibilities as needed to support the firm.
